Translation Coordinator at GRI's Editorial and Publishing Team contributing to creating a sustainable future
As an assistant to the Editorial and Publishing Team I started out helping coordinate the projects and the team. Since then I have become the point of contact for all peer reviewers and kept track of all interactions with the translation companies and deadlines.
As part of the Team Challenge program, I am volunteering to manage two projects to learn valuable skills as a project manager. I monitor project progress and deadlines, and facilitate clarity regarding the division of roles and responsibilities within the team. I'm enjoying the challenges that managing these projects brings and the ability to support these developers, designers and QA-ers to do their best work.

Performed English-Ukrainian written translation working closely with the localization team using CAT-tools, such as Matecat and SDL Trados Studio.
Conducted English classes for high school students.
I followed an intense 8 week training program to gather the skills needed to become a business analyst. This course was part of the "Future in IT" project from the German federal government. The course proved to be a worthwhile investment, the learnings about requirements and stakeholders directly benefitted my work as a team assistant and gave the GRI Translations team the opportunity to significantly improve the way they think about roles and responsibilities within the team.
I took this course to enhance my ability to navigate today's intercultural complexity. It was engaging and full of valuable discussions and insights.
I followed various Dutch language courses. Current level B1.
